Coat & Sweater Drive
40 Coats were collected by CP-NY’s participants and delivered to homeless youth at Covenant House and Lenox Family Shelter in Manhattan.
Refugee Letter Writing Campaign
A talkback with Congolese refugee youth and CP-NY casts to learn more about the situation for youth in refugee camps in the Congo will take place in February. A letter writing campaign will hope to be developed out of this meeting.
Safe Space/GSAs
Safe Space posters were put up in a number of schools by CP-NY cast members. Responses were recorded and cast members will be exploring how to launch and/or improve Gay Straight Alliances in specific schools.
Violence Against Women
The CP-NY participants will attend a performance of the Vagina Monologues at Columbia University and learn more about how they can support the VDay mission and other actions
