Dear Friends of City at Peace,
It has been another tremendous year for City at Peace with the expansion of programs and growth to new cities - increasing the number of young people whose lives we are able to transform for the better. We are especially proud of the success of our young people in our two newest efforts, a pilot program for foster care youth in New York City and a first-year program in Rochester, New York, our seventh U.S. city program. You can read what two of our youth have to say by clicking here.
In 2010, City at Peace programs will engage hundreds of teenagers in our unique creative process to build understanding across cultural differences, learn to resolve conflicts, develop their leadership abilities, and improve our communities. Their participation will change their lives, and impact thousands more through performances and community action projects.
For these young people, City at Peace means a chance for a better future. Your renewed support today will help make that happen.
As we approach the year’s end, I would like to share with you what City at Peace means to all of us. For our young people, City at Peace means many things.
City at Peace means community.
“I cherish City at Peace because I feel like I belong.”
City at Peace means hope.
“City at Peace is helping me to grow into the person I want to be tomorrow.”
City at Peace means a better world.
“I’ve learned that I can change the injustice around me.”
For me, City at Peace means inspiration. Because each year I have the privilege to work with our remarkable teenagers who strive, even in the face of tremendous challenges, to make their lives and our world better.
Your yearend gift to City at Peace will make a difference in a young person’s life.

We thank you for your support and hope that you will renew your commitment to City at Peace today. For our young people. For our communities. For a brighter future.
From all of us at City at Peace, best wishes for a peaceful holiday season!
Sincerely,
Paul Griffin
